Case Description

Whether you are a person with very nosy friends and coworkers or you simply have some people around at a certain time who you don’t want to be prying in your phone, there are times when we all wished we could hide our phone’s content to easily escape an uncomfortable situation. Hid.dem aims to resolve this problem and ensure the smoothest, most reliable experience.

Target audience

The product is addressed to anybody that finds themselves in social situations where they could use an extra layer of privacy. Our niched audience is composed of teenagers that feel there is no such thing as too much privacy and people whose sexuality or identity is not approved by their close peers who claim "it's a long journey towards approval and sometimes privacy, even through camouflaging what's going on, is that much needed bit of calm in a stormy day".

Features and values

We believe in reliability, privacy and relationships based on trust. That is why, the product is locally operated, making it reliable at anytime, even without a stable connection. It's camouflage interfaces are also 100% functional and are acting as an app on their own, while the action of turning the camouflage on is a matter of a simple, customizable button that is always at your disposal.

Branding
Behind the curtain

Before being able to use the camouflaging features, Hid.dem needs to be configured. The user turns the feature on for the installed apps that they prefer and chooses from the camouflage templates available. Once turned on for the specific app, Hid.dem puts a button in the right bottom corner of that app which turns on the camouflage interface upon clicking it.

The prototyped versions of camouflage are a photo feed, with copyright-free contents from platforms like Unsplash, and a music player app, both downloading their needed data upon configuration so they can be reliable at any time and not be dependant on internet connections.
